My Birds

I have been photographing birds along the Gulf Coast for five years.  I have found many favorite places, but none more so than Audubon Park in New Orleans -- the picture on the left is a Great Egret from there.  The green around the eyes and the showy feathers are mating signs.

Dad gets turn to watch nest
It was dad's turn to watch the nest while mom took a break and turn on the food hunt. The shot was just a few feet outside of our bedroom window.
Snowy Egret
This Snowy Egret was looking for a good place to fish at Audubon Park in New Orleans
Glossy Ibis
This Glossy Ibis was not enjoying the rain at Lafreniere Park in Jefferson Parish, just outside of New Orleans.
